The speaker will be Danny M. Goldberg who is the Founder and Managing Partner of SOFT GRC, a professional development and advisory services firm based in Dallas, Texas. Danny has over 14 years of audit experience in the Dallas Fort Worth area, including the last five as an Audit Director at two diverse companies and for the last 3years has been a frequent speaker at IIA events and seminars.
Objective: This one hour overview will provide guidance to prepare for a smooth transition to IFRS. Changing to IFRS is not a revolution but a global standardization to move from a rules-based financial reporting standard to one that is principles-based. This preview focuses on scoping, planning for the conversion, and beginning the education process on IFRS. Additionally, we will discuss what is in the pipeline and when IFRS will be upon us.
