Recently we came across an article from FastCompany.com called “10 Ways To Lose Your Best Employees”. As a manager, one of your main jobs is to train and keep your top talent. And while many managers and executives do their best to keep their employees, you may be doing some of these without even realizing it.
Some of our favorites were:
* Bungle the teams: Some managers would tempted to pair up employees of like minds and even demographics.
* Measure hours, not results: Don’t trust your talent to manage their time wisely
* Don’t bother with training: If the employees are doing a good job now, they probably will continue that way.
