We discovered this blog article recently that talked about how great employees are not replaceable. Here’s a quote from the article:
Can a company hire someone to fill a position to replace someone else? Of course they can. In today’s market, the world is ripe with candidates who are eager and willing to take the job. But putting a behind in a seat doesn’t replace a great employee. It simply puts a new behind in a seat.
Finding and developing good employees should be a priority of every company especially in those critical positions. The time and money it costs to retrain an employee is expensive and costly to a company’s future.
