Many of us are not “morning people”. However, this article from Forbes by Jennifer Cohen provides some tips on some things successful people do early in the morning. A couple of our highlights:
* Map Out Your Day – yes, there are alot of things that pop up during a day that can throw off your schedule. But starting with a schedule of your day is a good thing. Schedule some “free time” to help absorb those interruptions. After a stressful meeting, take some time to reflect on the outcome of the meeting and any action items that fall on your plate.
* Make Your Day Top Heavy – it’s really easy to want to tackle the little things on the To-Do list but this article suggests you do just the opposite. Focus on that one or two big projects that will need every ounce of energy and attention you have to get through it. Then once you do, the rest of the day is smooth sailing or at least a little stressful as you think about what are you to do after you get off work.
