Here are some proven and practical tips when you have your next interview:

  • Be Prepared!!
  • Research the company and prepare five questions about the company
  • Write a script for your responses to standard interview questions
  • Review what you have to offer a company and how you can sell yourself
  • Dress for success
  • Take extra copies of your resume
  • Have references available on a separate page
  • Do not bring up salary in the first interview
  • “Mirror” the Interviewer
  • When asking questions, put yourself in the position
  • Ask about the next step in the process
  • Express your interest, “Ask for the job”
  • Always follow up with a handwritten thank you note
